Pasadena Music Festival
Thanks to my new found love for Yelp, I've been finding a lot of cool events in my area. For example, this weekend Abraham and I went to the Pasadena Music Festival. It's one of the biggest free music festivals in California.
Later on, we swung by the Chalk festival that was happening down the street. Aren't you amazed by the talent of these artists? I wish I was this good with chalk!
I included every artist with their work (unless they weren't around.) Most of the pieces were either being worked on or unfinished. At first, I was a bit bummed I wasn't going to see some pieces finished but I was happy to have been able to capture the artists hard at work on their pieces. I was really inspired by how much effort they were putting into it and how much fun they were having. I'm going to check the guidelines for the Chalk Contest (so maybe I can enter next year.) I would love to be part of such a neat event!
Since Abe and I were short on cash this week, the Pasadena festival was a great way to have fun and spend minimal money. There was stages all over the city and it was so packed. We were lucky to have gotten close enough to see Ra Ra Riot (They were awesome.) The music festival lineup was mostly of indie bands such as The Morning Benders and Best Coast.
& In honor of Father's Day, here is my favorite photo of my father and I.
Love you Dad! I hope you all had a great Father's Day with your Dad's! ♥

The festival looks cozy. The chalk painter painted great - fascinating.
One of the artist is drawing a Steve McCurry's shot! McCurry is my favourite photojournalist. I went to Perugia last year to see an exhibition of his works!

Your photos are so pretty as always Brenda. Are you going to go professional yet? All of us on the blogosphere are loving your work :)
What is Yelp? Whatever it is....great work finding this festival. I wish I lived in California, going by your blog it constantly looks like an amazing place to live.
Also, I just want to say thank you sooo much for your comments on my blog! Your blog has been one of my absolute favourites since the start, when both of us had just started and only had about 5 followers each, and it still is. It makes me so happy when I see a comment from you! When you said the quality of my photos was good it made my day lol...coming from you I know I must be getting better with my amateurish photograph skills!
