IT'S BEEN A WHILE.

I've been away because I've been busy living. I no longer feel the need to document everything as I once did when I started this blog. The months that pass continue to surprise me, a year ago I would have never thought I would be where I am now. But I wouldn't change things, even if I could. It's a good feeling, being with someone who I can be myself with and that is not only a boyfriend but a best friend. Someone I tell everything to, look forward to seeing and miss even after just leaving. I'm happy, and I hope all of you are doing just as well.

Calendar Journal

May 10, 2012 May 11 May 12 May 13 May 14. Three months with Aaron ♥ What it looks like on the back of the index card: I used to be an avid journal writer until school and work got in the way. Yesterday was my last day of class so now I have all the free time in the world to do all the things I never had time for. I started a Calendar Journal a few days ago. My idea for this came when I saw this picture on a website:

What I liked about it was the simplicity of it. All I needed was a pack of index cards, a few of my old photographs and my typewriter and done! That's all there is to it. I'd love to hear your thoughts. (**I do not take credit for the first and last photograph.) _______________________ ♥

I have a few secret spots in every city. Long Beach has this amazing little village, complete with a lighthouse, restaurants and ice cream shops. I come here for the happy hours and the view. I couldn't possibly ask for more x ♥

s u n l i g h t

On a warm and sunny day, you can find me in Venice Beach. California got it's first taste of summer yesterday. It was hot, everyone was in shorts and mostly everyone headed to the beach. In a month and a half's time, I'll be out of school, spending my days all over the city of Los Angeles♥ After finishing A Million Little Pieces, I started reading My Friend Leonard. James Frey has quickly become one of my favorites. I come home from work every night, light a candle and spend my nights reading. It's my favorite way to end the day ^_^ Nights like these also give me time to reflect. I feel I've come a long way since my graduation day. I wanted so much out of life, then somewhere in between I got lost in things that I shouldn't have and invested so much time in people that didn't matter. I feel that when I started dating Aaron, everything came into sync again. I became incredibly motivated to finish school, to work on my body and health and to overall, be a better person. Thinking back to when I was 18, I'd look at my future and hoped that one day I can date someone who can make me a better person, rather than to make me worse. I have dated enough between the ages of 18 to 22 to know that Aaron is a good thing, and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend. I hope you are all doing well darlings. When I see your face, it's like sunlight dripping. You're just like sunlight. ♥

I miss the waves. All that's been on my mind lately is the summer. School is almost over and I look forward to warm days in the sun, picnics on the beach and late night bonfires.

You know spring is near when the days start getting warmer and flowers begin to bloom.

After two months of not picking up my camera, it felt great to go shooting again.

The Fullerton Arboretum is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to go,

filled with serene gardens and lakes.

Spring Break is also coming up and I look forward to spending it with Aaron.

We plan to go somewhere for a few days, so I'm excited ♥

I've been away but I have not forgotten my blog. It's been exactly a month since my last post and if you can believe it, so much has changed in that short amount of time. I mentioned spending time with a friend of mine in the last few posts and I continued to do so in the last few weeks. Valentine's Day was lovely, he invited me to his house where he had dinner ready for me and he asked me to be his girlfriend.
I'm glad he did, Aaron is one of the nicest guys I know.
