Your brown eyes are my blue skies. They light up the rivers that the birds fly over.
I miss the waves.
All that's been on my mind lately is the summer.
School is almost over and I look forward to warm days in the sun,
picnics on the beach and late night bonfires.
Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise.
It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does.
Even for me.

driving to the beach with the windows down, music blasting, friends laughing;
it is next to the waves I feel the most alive.
Hello friends,
I had originally planned to take a break from my blog and stop taking photos for a while. Yet as I walked out of work last week, I couldn't help but to take a photo of this sunset. I am quite happy I'm still able to see beauty in the world around me and my eyes are still alert to such things.
I want to thank every each and every one of you who commented on my last post from the bottom of my heart. This is by far, the hardest thing I've had to go through. I did not only lose my best friend but also a wonderful family that I wished could have been mine forever as well. I've been keeping busy and staying strong. I pray I continue on this way.
I'm going to start catching up on your blogs soon, I promise! xx
"I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy."

It was a wonderful week. Abe and I went to Bolsa Chica Beach yesterday. How was your weekend, I'd love to know! Also, Mother's Day is coming up. I'm still thinking of good gift ideas for my Mom. Do you know what your getting your Mom yet?
