Taking flight

I feel brand new.

This weekend I drove up to Melrose Ave, picked the perfect artist and design, and got my tattoo done.

The whole process of getting my tattoo done and the idea behind it is so much more than just art on my skin. To me, it is a permanent and constant reminder of the strenght I have gained.
I love my swallow and the design Caycee (my tattoo artist) drew for me.
The position of the bird, which is taking flight, symbolizes my life.
It is leaving the past behind, finding hope and being happy again.
It's also believing true love does exist and my constant involment with the
world is bringing me closer to it.

It felt so good to dust the dirt off of my DSRL and put it to use! I hope all of you have a great week <3
